Snowpack forms from layers of snow that accumulate in geographic regions and high altitudes where the climate includes cold weather for extended periods during the year. Snowpacks are an important water resource that feeds streams and rivers as they melt.

What does the snowpack mean for you? Some cities had mandatory water days last years because of low water coming out of the mountains. Fortunately this year we had a better winter but this doesn’t mean we are out of a drought. Utah is the 2nd driest state in the nation.

Did you know that fertilizing can help with using less water? The more you fertilize the less water you need to use. By giving your turf the nutrients it needs it won’t need as much water to stay green.
